Libyan Cruise Ships Restarted to Izmir After 25 Years

Libyan cruise ship services resumed to Izmir after 25 years. The cruise ship Kevalay Queen arrived at Izmir Port on December 5, 2021, departing from the Libyan city of Misrata, within the scope of the re-started cruise ship services after 25 years in partnership with Karanfil Group, Kevalay Tourism, and Libya Iron and Steel Company (LISCO).

Kevalay Queen, which will carry cargo and vehicles, has a 500-bed, 700-seat passenger capacity and can accommodate approximately 520 vehicles.

Bringing 107 passengers to İzmir Alsancak Port, Kevalay Queen arrives between İzmir and Libya in 2 days. It is planned that the trip, which is planned as 1 trip per week, can be increased in the summer months.
