Two luxury sailing cruise ships docked at Ege Port in Aydın's Kuşadası district on Monday, 11 October.

After the ships named Blue Sapphire and Viking Sea, sailboats named Wind Star and Pan Orama anchored in Ege Port Harbor in Kuşadası district of Aydın.

Greece, which banned entry to cruise ports in Turkey last year due to the pandemic and imposed a 15-day quarantine requirement for ships calling at Turkish ports, removed Galataport Istanbul and Kuşadası Ege Port ports from the scope of the ban.

Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias announced that they have opened sea border gates at two important Turkish ports as of October 1. After the ban period, cruise ships that made their journey to Kuşadası Ege Port were welcomed by the people of the region with joy.

150 passengers, mostly US and Canadian citizens, disembarked from the Bahamian flagged "Wind Star" and Greek flagged "Pan Oroma" luxury sailing cruise ships docking at the port.

Passengers who visited the Ancient City of Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary in Selçuk district of İzmir by tour buses also had the opportunity to shop in Kuşadası.

With an overall length (LOA) of 134 meters and a width of 15.8 meters, the Wind Star luxury sailing cruise ship is a Bahamas-flagged vessel built in 1986.

Nearly 40 More Ships Expected Until the End of 2021 Season!

In the 2021 season; Mega yachts Astra, Wayfinder and Flying Manta had arrived at Kuşadası Ege Port.
