The Maritime Traffic Operators Association, headquartered in Istanbul, was established in 2004. It does not have a branch other than the central campus. The short name of the association is DTOD. For the development of maritime trade in Turkey and Turkish ships at sea proudly established to embark on a journey, it takes place between associations.

Maritime Traffic Operators Association Objectives

Turkey Located between members of the Association of Shipping Federation was established for Marine Traffic Operators variety of purposes. These purposes can be mentioned as follows:

  • The Marine Traffic Operator's profession must be maintained at international standards. The association conducts researches and studies for this purpose. Organizing internal and external training on the subject at the end of these studies is one of the first goals of the association.
  • Maritime Traffic Operator is to protect the social and material rights of those who carry out this profession by protecting the honor and honor of the profession. To carry out various studies on all kinds of platforms for these rights.
  • In addition to improving the working conditions of Maritime Traffic Operators, minimizing physical and psychological health problems is also among the aims of the association. For this purpose, it investigates the rules determined by national and international legislation. As a result of the researches, it is also aimed to follow the developments in these rules and to make suggestions for solving professional and social problems.
  • It aims to eliminate the differences between the income distribution and working conditions of the Maritime Traffic Operators. This goal aims to ensure equal opportunities and to work in protective activities.

Association Membership Rights and Duties 

Association members have equal rights, and each member has one vote at the general assembly. The association members must elect or be elected as members of the Boards of the Association. Each member has the right to leave the association, provided that they notify in writing. The resignation petition of the member is forwarded to the board of directors. Once the petition is received by the board of directors, exit procedures will be finalized. It is among the responsibilities of the members to actively participate in the activities carried out in line with the aims of the association and to support them in cases where they cannot participate. Members of the association are obliged to support solidarity among each other. Also, each member routinely pays the membership fee specified in the association's charter. Ordinary general assembly convenes regularly every two years. This meeting is held in February. The day, time and place of the meeting are determined by the Board of Directors of the Maritime Traffic Operators Association.
