The Foundation was established under the leadership of the Chamber of Shipping. The Turkish Maritime Education Foundation was formed by 52 founding members, thanks to the financial and moral contributions of the entire marine community. Its foundation date is January 7, 1993. It was established in Istanbul. It was established in Istanbul in its history. In 2007, the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation Alumni Association was established. The association is the result of the devoted efforts and incentives of DTO and TÜDEV executives. TUDEVMED continues to serve under its short name.

What is the purpose of the association?

The association works for Turkish maritime transport to reach the level of advanced countries. Besides, the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation Alumni Association aims to create maritime policies that will increase the welfare and efficiency of our country's economic power in maritime. On the other hand, it is among the aims of the association to carry out the necessary studies to determine its goals. To train people working in the shipping industry in our country;

• It provides scholarship opportunities for those who are trained as seamen.

The association offers students internship opportunities when and in the required time. The association provides scholarships to students who are in need and who are successful, with the income obtained from the contribution payments of the graduates and the donations made to the institutions by the graduates. It is aimed that Dermek members benefit from the courses and training provided by Piri Reis University Continuing Education Center, whose short name is PUSEM, at a discount. However, members will be able to benefit from the facilities within the association for more affordable prices.

It aims to increase the number of institutions that are offered to the members of the association over time and can benefit from a discount. The magazine to be sent to the institutions is compiled from the achievements of the association and its alumni, the latest developments in the sector, special interviews, and event news. The social facility, which is planned to be included in the association in a short time, will be offered to the members of the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation Alumni Association. With the Tüdevmed Card to be given to the members by the association, it is planned that members will benefit from Pusem, association facilities, and contracted organizations at a discount.
