• The electrical system should be checked and it should be ensured that the circuit breaker and main fuse to which the batteries are connected are open. Also, make sure that the batteries are fully charged and that the terminals are stuck. 

• You need to make sure that the fuel tank is full and that there is water in the water separator section of the fuel filter. Besides, the fuel outlet valve and the ventilation pipe of the fuel tank should be checked and checked for obstruction. 

• It is necessary to check the cooling water system and make sure that the seawater inlet valve is open. 

• The coolant alarm and oil alarm, which are among the engine indicators, should be carefully checked and examined whether they give any warning or not. You must stop the motor and cut off the fuel in case of malfunctions and warnings in these two indicators. The reason for this is to prevent a possible fire hazard. 

• Before stopping the engine, you should pull your boat to a suitable and safe place and keep it safe by anchoring. After finding a suitable place and anchoring, you should intervene, if it is over you, you should ask the authorities for help.
